FAQs
Do you ship outside of the UK?
Currently, we only ship within the UK. However, due to high demand, we are exploring introducing international shipping.
What does EVOO stand for?
EVOO is an acronym for ‘extra virgin olive oil’. EVOO is defined as the highest quality grade of olive due to its production method, flavour, purity and authenticity.
What does PDO mean?
PDO means ‘protected destination of origin’. This accreditation serves a crucial purpose by protecting and promoting only the highest- quality grade produce and ensuring this can be identified by its consumers. It ensures that our olive oil is fully traceable to its source and is produced by traditional methods which meet strict quality parameters in terms of chemical and sensory characteristics. Our TRIA EVOO is only produced in Kalamata and has proudly met all parameters for this prestigious accreditation.
Is TRIA olive oil cold pressed?
Yes, our EVOO is cold pressed. This means that the olive oil is extracted from the olives without the use of heat, helping to preserve its natural, strong flavours and nutritional properties.
Why is TRIA EVOO stored in cans rather than glass bottles?
We store our EVOO in cans instead of the traditional glass bottle to ensure that the olive oil is fully protected from light. Exposure to light (including indoor lights) degrades the olive oil over time, reducing its quality, flavour, freshness and nutritional value. Light can penetrate through dark glass bottles, although at a much lesser rate, however still playing a part in the degradation of the oil.
Can I cook with TRIA EVOO?
Absolutely! TRIA olive oil has been created to elevate any dish. Extra virgin olive oil contains essential antioxidants, meaning that it is the healthiest fat to cook with. It can also simply be enjoyed drizzled over fresh salad, bread or any dish!
